01 — Share the brief
Tell me what you need, the source and target languages, the audience and your deadline. A short description is enough to open the conversation. We can agree how to share any files afterwards.
The process
Every assignment is different. These four steps give us a clear way to agree on the work, resolve questions and keep the delivery useful.
Start with your briefTell me what you need, the source and target languages, the audience and your deadline. A short description is enough to open the conversation. We can agree how to share any files afterwards.
After reviewing the material, we agree on the scope, quote, schedule and delivery requirements. Reference texts, terminology and any confidentiality requirements belong in this conversation too.
I translate or revise according to the agreed brief, checking the language and raising questions where the source needs clarification. Your subject knowledge helps resolve details that only your team can confirm.
You receive the agreed deliverable. We can discuss questions about the language and distinguish any new content or changes from the work originally scoped.
PRACTICAL QUESTIONS
Please include the date in your enquiry. I will assess it alongside the material and current availability before confirming the assignment.
Let me know as soon as possible. We can identify the changes and agree on any effect on the scope, quote or delivery date.
LET’S DISCUSS YOUR PROJECT
Tell me about the material, the audience and the date you have in mind. We confirm scope, availability and price before work begins.
