03 / Before work begins

How to request a quote.

01

Send an enquiry

Describe the content, language pair and intended use, with an approximate word count or running time and your deadline.

02

Share the materials

We arrange how to share the files, reference material and any terminology or format requirements.

03

Review the quote

After reviewing the material and my availability, I send a quote specifying the work, fee and delivery date.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you get in touch.

How much will my translation cost?

The quote depends on the service, subject, volume, source material and deadline. Start with a short description; I review the relevant material before confirming the price and scope.

Do I need to send files with my first enquiry?

No. A description of the content, approximate volume and intended use is enough to start. We can agree how to share the files afterwards. Leave confidential material out of the initial form.

Can you meet my deadline?

Include the date you have in mind and an approximate word count, number of pages or running time. I check the work required and my availability before confirming a delivery date.

Can we discuss an ongoing collaboration?

Yes. Tell me which services you need, the usual volume and your schedule. We can also discuss any tools, platforms or supplier onboarding requirements before agreeing how to work together.

04 / Your next project

Tell me about your project.

Describe the material or service you need, the languages involved and any deadline. For an event, include the dates and location.

I’ll assess the assignment and confirm availability, scope and fee in the quote.
